Mean Machines 2009 !

Yesterday, I went to see the mean machines 2009 in Juru, Auto City. This event is organized every year in Penang. At this event, you can see the meanest modified car. However, this year is a little bit disappointing me. The mean machines models are under my expectation and also not so many nice modified cars too.

Nice car, so of course I had to snap a photo! :P

This car is nice too! I like the way the owner modified the car. Have you noticed the sport rims?very special and with lots of blink blink diamonds on! haha...

At last, it's kelisa modified car! Recently, I bought a kelisa car for myself. So when I saw this modified car at the event, I was so excited because I didn't know it also can be modified like that! haha... now I am thinking of to modify my kelisa too. Of course I won't copy this concept with all 'LOUIS VUITON' logo on the car. :p

I am so sorry that I didn't upload any model photos here as it's more enjoyable seeing nice cars than the models.

Feed your skin with Skin Food!

Skin is very important to each girl, so we have to take a very good care of it. Choosing a suitable skincare product is important too. Nowadays, everybody likes to eat organic food to get a healthy body, so do our skin too. Have you ever fed your skin with organic food? For example, a DIY mask with cucumber, egg white and honey etc. These are very natural food that give your skin whitening and radiance. If you are lazy but you want to feed your skin with natural food daily, then you should try the new skincare product from Korea. It's called 'Skin Food'.

Skin Food is a well-known cosmetic and skincare product from Korea. The appealing factor of Skin Food is the use of natural food and produce in its original form as ingredients in their products. In addition. Their products range from makeup, skin care, body and hair products.

I have tried many kinds of skincare products before and now I am using this Skin Food product. I am currently using the 'Tomato Whitening Range'. It is made from tomato extract, which effectively lightens black or brown spots, making my skin crystal clean and clear. Haha, it's a little bit exaggerated, but I can tell you that this product is very hydrating and not oily at all. thumbs-up!

Nice packaging, right?

If you need to make up every day, then I strongly recommend you these two products which I am also using it. It's fantastic! The milk shake point makeup remover and the Oat Cinnamon Rich Foam.

1. Milk shake point makeup remover -it contains milk, gently and effectively remove the makeup for eyes and lip, easily removes waterproof mascara without irritation, while nourishing and moisturizing.

2. Oat Cinnamon Rich Foam - a moisturizing cleansing foam with oat seed grains, its rich foam gently exfoliates skins without irritation, leaving skin feeling smooth and moist.

half used! haha....very good cleansing foam!I am using every day

Having compared with other makeup remover, I think this one is the best as it's cheap and effective! Because I make up every day and put a lot of waterproof mascara, so I need a good makeup remover to remove the makeup from my eyes and face. I did try the YSL eyes makeup remover. It's also very good. I used it for almost 3 years and now changed to skin food. I changed it doesn't mean it's not good. It's because of the price. The YSL one is about RM 80+ ,but skin food is about RM 35+. haha...so which one will you choose if you were me? ..........:p

Sink Food also has the cosmetic line, so wait for me to try it first then I will share with you whether it is good or not! Stay tuned!!!

Dining@32 Mansion

We went to 32 Mansion for dinner on Sunday night to celebrate my 2X birthday. haha...I am a year older now. :-(

I think everyone in Penang should know 32 Mansion and also noted of its cozy atmosphere and tasty food. This restaurant is set by the sea and is a mansion that holds its own, even against the famed E & O Hotel that happens to be just a stone's throw away.

The night view of Thirty-two Mansion.

I ordered the set dinner, It came with salad, soup of the day, a main course, dessert and coffee or tea. This is the piquant salad with spicy lemongrass vinaigrette!

These were our soups! I think you should try the Creamy Crab Soup as it is really tasty! It had very strong crab meat taste. Yummy!!!!!!!Strongly recommended!

My main course: 6-spice marinated bbq chicken with buttered rice timbale

My hubby's choice: New Zealand Steak with black pepper sauce. I like it a lot, really tasty! You should try it if you like black pepper! :-)

Finally, it's dessert time! Since this was to celebrate my birthday, in accordance with usual practice, I should make a birthday wish lor! haha.....To be honest, this cake is delicious! It's called Austria Coffee cake! I don't think so you can try it or buy it outside of any bakery stores (including Secret Receipt). We like it very much!

Online Shopping!

Recently, I have fallen in love with online shopping! haha...My pocket is almost empty now!

I don't know if you have noticed that ‘online shopping’ is getting popular nowadays. ‘City People’ are busy with their work, a visit to a conventional retail store requires travel and must take place during business hours, and they don’t really have this kind of time to do so. Whereas, online stores are usually available 24 hours a day, so those busy people can enjoy shopping at office or home. Of course, online shopping is also for those 'Lazy People' who like to stay at home and not willing to go out to shop.

I think shopping online is a wonderful thing, you have a wider choice of goods, you have an almost unlimited supply of sellers, and you can find even the most obscure item for sale. Unfortunately, online shopping also has its drawbacks, you can't see the product in person, you can’t try it to see if it fits you, and sometimes it's hard to tell if you're getting the best price and if you can trust the seller. :-(

Although I love shopping online, there are a few things I won’t buy it online, such as, shoes, electronics devices, skin care products etc. As everyone should know that the return policy for shop online is very troublesome. When I shop online, I will only choose those trustable sellers, because they will provide quality products that surely satisfy my fussy need! Hoho….of course, sometimes I also will get some unsatisfied products but I don’t really bother to return it back (not to mention the reason here).

I am really a shopaholic, this is no doubt! I admit it. whenever I feel down or happy, I love to go shopping. Shopping makes me relieve tension or stress, shopping can make me happier. Of course make sure you have enough money on your bank account before you shop!

My warmest advice: try to avoid using your credit card to shop, spend what you have got in your pocket! :p Enjoy shopping online, friends!

Ingolf’s Kneipe German Bar and Restaurant

Today, after a visit to the Tropical Spice Garden, my hubby and I went to Ingolf’s Kneipe German Bar and Restaurant for lunch. This restaurant is situated along Jalan Sungai Kelian, off the main Jalan Tanjong Bungah.

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was full of people and we had to wait for a while to get a table. Actually, this restaurant is not very big, so it has limited seating. Prior reservation is advised if you would like to try next time.

Julian's Chef Salad, Strips of Cheese, Ham, Chicken and Egg served on a bed of Lettuce, Carnished with tomatoes and cucumbers. Topped with a slice of Cripy, Grilled Bacon, Garlic Bread.

This was my meal 'One Pork sausage with German Style Sauerkraut', the German Sausage is really nice, yummy!

My hubby ordered 'Homemade German Porkpattie ', Grilled Minced Porkpattie served with black peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes, salad carnish.

Honestly, the food there were nice, but I really have no comment on the waitperson's service as it was disappointed me today!!! I don't know what reason for that, they served better to those westerner. Anyway, since they didn't charge us the service charge, so I should not be so care about their service. haha.....but I won't pay them tips lor! xixi.......

Apart from the bad waitperson's service, I think the environment of this restaurant is quite relaxed and cozy, it is a good place to hand out with friends at the weekend. The German style decoration and feeling (Music, bar,etc..) makes this restaurant quite different compare to others. A lot of people especially foreigners love to go there, chit chat or have some beer at the bar.

2009-08-29

Yesterday, I was so happy because I saw a blue sky! It's been raining for a month in Penang, and even raining from day till night for the past two weeks. It's really frustrating.I cannot go out and do some outdoor activities!

My hubby and I drove back to Ipoh for weekend yesterday because Monday is Malaysia National Day!so we have a day off. On our way back to Ipoh, we saw a lovely blue sky. Since I haven't seen blue sky for some times, so I was so happy and cannot stop to snap a photo.

This picture was taken by my hubby's handphone

As I mentioned that Monday is Malaysia National Day, if you are living in Malaysia, you will probably listen to this slogan 'Satu(1) Malaysia' from the radio or TV every day! What do you think about it?Anyway, just want to say' Happy Merdeka Day!'

Snorkeling at Pulau Payar

Last Saturday, my family and I went to Payar Island for snorkeling. Payar Island is situated in the northern part of the Straits of Malacca, near Kuala Kedah and thirty kilometers south of Pulau Langkawi.

A night before, I was worrying about the weather, but thanks God, the weather was fantastic on Saturday. We had a relaxing and wonderful trip there.

There is no restaurant or hotel in Pulau Payar, so we did bring some snacks, food and drinks with us.

After about 2 hours ferry from Penang, we finally arrived at Pulau Payar.

The views of Pulau Payar

These two little are so lovely, they were playing on the beach, my honey cannot stop to snap a photo from them.

My little Cousin - 'Panda', Guess what does he look like?

Baby Shark feeding.

Can you see the baby sharks?

My honey, what was he doing?

Thousands of fishes under the water.

Actually, my hubby loves scuba-diving, he has asked me many times to get the diving license with him, so that we can do scuba-diving together. However, I am still not brave enough to do this as I will be very scared while under the deep sea. haha...

Dinner@Siriwan Thai Restaurant

This Saturday, We had dinner @Siriwan Thai Restaurant. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Thai food, however, I do like to eat Thai food sometimes. :) I especially love Green Curry Chicken and the Thai style pineapple fried rice. I do like Tomyam Soup, but I can't take too spicy food, so so so.....xixixi..... Here are the food we had @Siriwan Thai Restaurant.

Mango Salad, which is a little bit salty for me

Green Curry Chicken, Taste is good, not too spicy

Dried Curry Duck, It was good at the first taste, but after that, I felt a little bit salty too.

Above are just my comments according to my peronal taste. So if you really love Thai food, you should go and try it. I know they have about four outlets in KL an Penang. The one I went is at No. 1-1-31 & 32 Krystal Point II, Jalan Tun Dr. Awang, Bayan Lepas.

‘Are You Hot Enough?’ Mikaela Banes look-a-like contest

Are you a big fans of Transformers? Have you watched the Transformers II, 'Revenge of the Fallen'? If you have watched the Transformers I, then you should notice the hottest girl in the movie called Mikaela Banes (Actress Megan Fox).

Last weekend, there was a ‘Are You Hot Enough?’ Mikaela Banes look-a-like contest in Queensbay Mall. So I went there for hot models photo shoot, using my Panasonic Lumix FZ-28. haha...

She is the Winner, Do you think she looks like Mikaela Banes? For me, I like her a lot, she is so friendly and hot, just like Mikaela Banes! haha

The runner-up
Actually, there were about 15 models attended this contest, you can see how hot they are from the photos, however, if you were watching their live posing, you would have become like him! NOSE BLEEDING! :P

This is one of our friend, taking photo with the winner! Can you see the model's reaction? How funny that is!
This is my first time to do model shooting, using my new camera. I know it's not as good as those DSLR camera, but I believe any cameras can take a good picture as long as we use our heart to take that photo.

Ok, I think that is it. If I have time, I will upload some more photos about the Transformers convention at Queensbay mall. The model this time would be the Transformer toys!

I Love Maxi Dress!

Recently, I've fallen in love with the maxi dresses. They are gorgeous fashion pieces that can cover everything from big butts to stomachs, to chunky legs. You can wear maxi dresses to the beach, formal parties, mall, dates and park. With the right accessories, you can go from sleek and classy to trendy and chic.
Here is my favorite pick from Forever 21. The Painted Floral Maxi Dress, flex your femme side with this gorgeous full-length maxi dress featuring a self-tie halter, ruched bust, smocked empire waist, and a lovely chiffon overskirt with opaque lining.

with this gorgeous maxi dress, you can match with boho style accessories.

Isn't it gorgeous with these accessories? However, if you are petite, you have to be careful with your selection of Maxi dress to avoid looking like a tent! To avoid looking like a tent, your petite shape needs a more structured dress, so try a maxi dress with a defined waist like for example empire waist, and if you need to minimize your tummy or the preggy look of an empire waist, wrap a basic belt instead. For some extra height, better wear pumps, wedges or high heeled sandals.

Celebrity style

Different Maxi dresses suit different kind of people, if you don't like or the painted floral maxi dress not suit you, never mind, here are some other options for you. All from forever 21.

My Favorite Tea House!

Today, I want to share with you my favorite tea house in Penang - Winter Warmer Cafe. Winter Warmers is located at the little corner lot next to Secret Recipe and opposite Coffee Bean in Gurney Plaza.

The reason I like this cafe is because their British style feel, the English decor of flowery table cloths, wallpapers and most of all is the lovely cup. Also, the pots of cold fruity teas and herbal teas make me fall in love with this cafe.

This is what I like, a pot of Iced Rose Tea. The quantity is more than enough for a person. Actually, it can be shared with two people. It costs RM 9.90/Pot.

Iced Rose Tea comes with this lovely glass.

My lunch, Mango Chicken with rice. I love the mango so much as it's very sweet! I also tried the Lavender salad, but it's just not my favorite, the Lavender taste is too strong for me. However, for those people who love Lavender smell then you should try it!

The service at Winter Warmer is good when there are not so many customers visit. I suggest you not go on Public Holiday. The reason I said that because it happened to me last time when I went there for high tea. It was public holiday. The service was bad, we had to wait for a long time to get our food and drink. Also, when we ordered iced / cold drink, it served with the plastic takeaway cup not the pot and the lovely glass (see my above photos). I was so disappointed about it!!!!!!!! :-(

This is the Rose green tea, when you order the tea in hot, it will serve with this British style flowery cup. They also have other variety cups which are available for customers to buy.

I think this is a good place to hang out with friends or family.:-)
