Bad-Mood Foods


Avoid high calorie food if you want to stay in good spirits:

  • Bacon and Fries, other foods that high in saturated fats. They are digested slowly and divert blood from your brain to your stomach , which can make you feel mentally foggy. You should have more heart-healthy unsaturated fats from nuts and olive oil instead.
  • Too much caffeine and alcohol, go over your limit and caffeine can make you nauseous, while excessive booze can put you at a higher risk for cancer and heart failure. It also messes with your sleep pattern, leaving you tired and moody.
  • Big portions, the after lunch malaise usually comes after a large meal, that is because the long digestion time means less blood for your brain and muscles. So we should stay alert with five to six smaller meals a day.
